Macular Hole
macular hole
A macular hole is a condition in which the macular tissue degenerates and the retinal tissue becomes thin,
resulting in a round hole.
It mainly appears in older adults, and symptoms may include objects appearing larger or smaller,
or straight lines appearing wavy.
Above all, if things suddenly look distorted, or if, when reading a book or newspaper,
parts of the letters seem to be missing as if there were holes in them, you may suspect a macular hole.

Vision with a macular hole
If a macular hole is left untreated, it can progress to retinal detachment and carries a risk of blindness.
Therefore, we determine the severity through detailed testing and recommend personalized treatment accordingly.
